Baby Shower Guest Activities

A baby shower is your event at the same time you want to involve your guests in the celebration. At my shower, I had lots of activities planned for my guests to be involved into through the event. We played games, made speeches, took pictures, cut the cake and had lunch together. To know which games we played at the shower, ready my blog – Baby Shower Games. In addition to the shower games, there were a lot of other activities to keep our guests busy and collect memories for our little arrival.
1. Onesie and Diaper Messages
I had put out a plain white onesie from my baby’s first shopping for the guests to write their messages or wishes on it. I pinned it on a hardboard and left a few markers for the guests. I planned to frame it and hang it in the nursery. To make it little funny, I put out a bunch of diapers for guests to write silly messages on them!
What you need?
  • Hardboard to pin the onesie
  • Onesie
  • Diapers
  • Few permanent markers
2. Filling the Alphabet Book

This was so much fun to look at after the shower was over. I had printed A -Z pages for the guests to fill in. To keep all the pages in place, I used a binder. They could write what the alphabet meant to them and draw something representing the same. And at the bottom of the page, they could sign off as a memory. It is the most precious gift I had created for my baby.
What you need?
  • spiral binder
  • A-Z printed alphabets
  • Crayons
  • Pens or pencils
3. Name Our Baby
I wanted to collect names for my baby and what could be better than having your guests write their suggestions! I had 2 mason jars put out to suggest girl and boy names separately. We had a great list to start with!
What you need?
  • 2 mason jars
  • Paper sheets ( I color-coded these by leaving blue and pink)
  • Pens or pencils
4. Message for Parents-to-be
This was a very funny activity we had. I had prepared greeting card style message cards. They were passed around for the guests to write their messages for us as new parents-to-be! And I read a few aloud during the shower. Most of the suggestions were to get a good sleep before the arrival!
What you need?
  • Paper message cards
  • Pens or pencils

5. Signing Thank You Cards

My husband and I wanted to get the guests to sign our thank you cards and write in their addresses so we could send out the cards post-shower! This never happened as we got so caught up in other things but my guests were very much into the activity and we had all of them put down their addresses for us.

What you need?
  • Thank you card envelopes
  • Pens or pencils
Bonus Activities to keep Kids busy at the Shower
I had a lot of young guests invited to the shower and so I planned to keep them busy with their activities. I had a “kids zone” which was designated area for these little guests. It had a bunch of drawing and coloring sheets for them and I threw in a basket full of crayons for them to keep coloring! It was so much easier even for parents to enjoy the shower.
What you need?
  • Drawing or coloring sheets
  • Crayons or color pencils
