I am one of those unique persons who want to do things differently. When I was planning for our gender reveal, I wanted to do something different than just going by the standard ‘Boy or Girl’ and ‘Pink or Blue’ theme. Since I have a five-year-old, Superheroes are kind of part of our family! So I thought I could leverage this and came up with a ‘Princess or Superhero’ theme for our gender reveal party.
With the theme, it was a little hard to find standard gender reveal goodies and decors but I was able to put things together from two different themes into one. Party City was my one-stop shopping place. I was able to find some awesome princess portraits for wall decor and instead of sticking to standard superhero, I grabbed Avenger-themed portraits. As always, I love balloon bouquets; so I got themed balloons and some solid color balloons. For the wall background, I choose to bring pink and metallic blue doorway curtains to cover the wall. I also made Princess or Superhero welcome board. Here are all decorations I put up at my gender reveal party:

For our reveal, I had a no-mess balloon bouquet. Read this blog to know about my no-mess gender reveal. I ordered a simple half-and-half theme cake with the theme colors of red and purple. For our guests, I ordered themed soaps as return gift favours. I also stuck with colors for the favors. Everyone loved the gender reveal.
I had a white onesie for all the friends and family to write their messages for our baby. Our guests also signed the Guess the baby’s gender sheet. These are one of the best keepsakes and memories for our baby to look at when she grows up.
It was an exciting evening with close friends and family.
